I learned to cook in France when I had to learn French to do my master's degree and cookbooks helped me learn faster and with more joy. I've been cooking ever since - which has been over two decades now, blending influences from many European countries I studied in, worked in and lived in. I love learning from others, hear the stories behind their favourite food and recipes as well as behind who they are. As a side effect, it might help improve my Dutch which at this point still entertains others more than anything else. I understand Dutch more than I can speak it.
